  • Stages

    Stages
This following poem was written by Hermann Hesse, a German writer, who wrote this while he was on his quest for enlightenment.

As every flower fades and as all youth
Departs, so life at every stage,
So every virtue, so our grasp of truth
Blooms in its day and may not last forever.
Since life may summon us at every age,
Be ready, heart, for parting, new endeavour,
Be read bravely and without remorse
To find new light that old ties cannot give.
In all beginnings dwells a magic force
For guarding us and helping us to live.

Serenely let us move to distant places
And let no sentiments of home detain us.
The Cosmic Spirit seeks not to restrain us
But lifts us stage by stage to wider spaces.
If we accept a home of our own making
    Familiar habit makes for indolence.
We must prepare for parting and leave-taking
Or else remain the slaves of permanence.

Even the hour of our death may send
Us speeding off to fresh and newer spaces,
And life may summon us to newer races.
So be it, heart: bid farewell without end.

  • The quest for enlightenment

I have talked previously about Life between Lives, particularly about the regressionist hypnotherapist, Dr. Michael Newton, with my quest for enlightenment in mind.  For those of you who missed that blog, I'm going to give a quick run down on this very interesting subject of the Spirit World investigated by Dr. Newton.  This is taken from his two books, namely, Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls.
Dr. Newton devotes his private hypnotherapy practice to behaviour modification and helping people access their higher spiritual selves.  He has developed a technique that takes his clients beyond their past life experiences to uncover a more meaningful soul existence between lives.  Are you hooked yet?
This is a phenomenal achievement in my eyes, and I have learnt so much by simply reading his books.  I had my own ideas about the afterlife before I read his books, only to find much of what I believed to be true, was actually mirrored by his research into the afterlife.
These books are a must if you are also on a quest for enlightenment.  They are not only fascinating, but educational.  WARNING- if you are not a broad-minded person and are not really interested in your spiritual growth at the moment, then you are probably not ready to take on board the information which challenges everything you have been taught through your life-time.  I can guarantee your religious beliefs will be challenged and the reason for your whole existence will take on a new meaning.

The books cover such issues as:-
    Our purpose on Earth.
    Soulmates.
Spiritual settings where souls go after death.
Ways spirits connect with and comfort the living.
Spirit guides and the council of wise beings who interview us after each life.
Links between soul groups and human families.
Soul recreation and travel between lives.
    The soul-brain connection.
    Why we choose certain bodies.

These are just some of the topics covered.
If you are interested in getting copies of these books, I've found mine through Ebay, as they are not found in my local bookstores.  Amazon might be a good place to look.  The ISBN is 1-56718-499-5 if that helps.  Happy reading!

  • Jokes from the other side.

Why did the witch put her broom in the washing machine?
    She wanted a clean sweep.

What do you call a wizard from outer space?
    A flying sorcerer.

What do you call a motorbike belonging to a witch?
    A brroooooom stick!

Did you hear about the little spook who couldn't sleep at night because his brother kept telling him Human stories.

What do you call a ghost who only haunts the Town Hall?
    The nightmayor.

What is a ghost's favourite dessert?
    Boo-berry pie with I-scream!

  • A spell for breaking another witch's spell

    Breaking another witch's spell

You need some silver cord and a bolline ( magical knife ) or scissors.  Tie two knots; one represents you and the second the other person who cast the hex or spell.
Cut the cord in the centre between the two knots, chant the following and visualize the spell breaking:

From you to me this spell I break,
This was not right for you to make.
It's path I will abruptly end,
And back to you the spell I send.
For the Good of All and Free will of All.
As I will so mote it be.

  • How to break a spell

In response to a comment on my last blog, asking about breaking spells, I  am writing on this very subject.
Some spells were just made to be broken.Poppet and cord magic are easy to undo.  You can take poppets apart and untie knots to undo the above spells, but some are difficult to break.
One way to try to recall a spell that you have cast is to take a cord and some scissors, consecrate them, and empower them with your intent.  Cut the entire cord into little pieces.  Hold all the pieces in one of your hands and don't let them drop.  As you cut up the cord, say the following chant:

Recall the magic of this spell,
The intent that I sent out,
From me to there and back again,
This time I have no doubt.
Break the spell and set it free,
    This now is my command:
The energy cometh back to me,
    Return it to my hand..

When you finish, take all the pieces and bury them in the Earth to ground the energy that you sent out.

  • A self breaking KARMA spell

This self breaking Karma spell enhances karma that will break itself.
I don't usually agree with doing spells on others, especially if it, at all, infringes on their Free Will, but this spell only serves a basic purpose of letting another become aware of their negative activities, in respect to how they affect themselves and others around them.
This spell does not set out to harm or demean anyone, nor mete out any punishment.  It just serves as a reminder to the individual that there will be karmic payback for their negative actions.

Once the person in question has stopped acting and feeling hateful, the spell will break itself:

Light a white candle and cocentrate on the person this spell is meant to help.  Say these words out loud :-

Listen to this spell I weave, take heed in what is told,
For your hatred and unkind deeds will return to thee threefold.
By the rise of the next full moon a witch will sit and weep,
For all the sorrow ye have sewn, thee will begin to reap.
It's not too late to change your ways and break this painful spell,
Replace the hatred in your heart so only love will dwell.
    So mote it be.

Do not blow out the candle, but allow it to burn out.  Votive candles are safer for this use.
I have used this spell on people whose aim it is to hurt themselves, me and others around them.  It has worked, as the ones involved have come to me with realisations of their own and have, in some way, changed for the good of themselves and others.
Take care with your own feelings too.  Do not allow anger and agression to be part of the spell.  It must be said with great meaning and compassion.

  • Archetypes - Part 1

Through meditation, I asked to meet my archetype.  This was back in 2002.  I recorded the experience in my personal Book of Shadows, so that I can look back at it and keep learning from it.
Carl Jung (1875-1961), a psychiatrist, studied many means of divination and concluded that divination systems allow us to tap into the collective unconscious, the subconscious awareness of all humans as a group.  The knowledge of the collective unconscious is organised in symbols ( remember that symbols, not words, speak to the unconcious) called archetypes.
Achetypes are like characters from myths.  Jung and many people after him, for instance, the mythologist Joseph Campbell, noticed that the characters in myths across all cultures had certain similarities.
The Great Mother is an example of an archetype; so too, is the Wise Old Man.  Characters that fit these architypes appear in many of our most popular stories and films -from Cinderella to The Wizard of Oz to Star Wars.

The Shadow Self is the archetype that represents the dark, weak, ugly or unacceptable side of each of us.

At the time of my archetype meditation, I was keenly interested in the Tarot and the symbolism behind them.
Tarot cards are a great divination tool that people have been using for centuries, that dates back to the fifteenth century.

A tarot deck consists of 78 cards (22 are Major Arcana and 56 are Minor Arcana cards).  The Minor Arcana are much like regular playing cards.  They each have meanings that relate to their suit and number.  The Major Arcana have pictures on them that represent the significant issues or phases in an individual's spiritual developement.

In Archetype - Part 2, I will tell of my experience and visions I had whilst in a deep meditation.  The tarot deck plays it's part in my interpretation of the characters that appear to me.  Everybody's interpretation of the same symbols is personal and individual to them.  We take what we need to to learn and move forward with our lives.

  • Finding your way

This is a world of revolving energy.  It passes into us and out of us.  It passes between us, around us and through us.  We need to harness these energies and evolve further into Spiritual Enlightenment.

So much needs to be explained, but not all will see.  Some may hope to explore it further and some may not.  Acceptance is a virtue. But to re-accept may be an even higher virtue.

Do not accept all that you physically see.  Being, knowing and experiencing is therefore the simple way to go.  We become at one with the Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit.

    We seek further knowledge each day;
    To evolve, is to revolve.
    To revolve, is to evolve.

    To experience it is the glory of life;
To experience it with others of like, is to experience a pure light of the hidden, yet so real, global consciousness.
